Using Symthink on desktop (web)
Symthink is a mobile-first app that also runs in the browser. On wider screens, full-page layouts use a centered column so lines of text stay readable.
Root navigation
The four root tabs are the same on desktop and mobile:
| Tab | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Home | Leaders, Elections, and Following |
| Civic Ladder | Geographic levels with Thinkers, Questions, and Dashboard |
| My Vision | Your private knowledge tree |
| Dashboard | Stats, Sharing, and My Forums |
Layout behavior
- Viewports wider than 768px show main content in a centered column with a maximum width of 768px.
- Navigation, modals, and the tree editor follow the same breakpoint so the experience stays consistent across Home, civic level pages, My Vision, and Dashboard.
- On My Vision, the Options menu opens as a popover beside the row instead of a bottom sheet.
This is automatic — no setting to change. On phone-sized screens, content uses the full width as on native mobile.
Tips
- Install Symthink as a PWA from your browser menu for an app-like window (where supported).
- Keyboard and mouse work throughout; tree editing supports standard text selection and scrolling.
