Symthink User Guide

Symthink helps you build, publish, and refine a structured civic Vision — a map of questions, ideas, and claims backed by evidence — within your real community context.

Your journey

1. Set up your civic context

After you sign in, Symthink sends you to Civic Ladder until you generate your ladder from an address or GPS. Your ladder maps neighborhood through national levels and sets the community context for discovery, rankings, and transparency.

2. Build My Vision

On the My Vision tab, grow your private Vision tree. If you are starting fresh, the Vision Question Wizard can draft starter questions. Use Options on any node for editing and AI research paste-back. On Question nodes, Options also offers copy-only prompts for external Evidence-Aware Article Drafting — separate from paste-back into your tree.

3. Publish from Dashboard → Sharing

When you are ready to go public, open Dashboard → Sharing to publish your Vision to a level on your Civic Ladder. You must have your Civic Ladder set up first.

4. Collaborate with your community

Readers explore your published Vision on Shared Vision. Run Open Forums on published questions and manage them from Dashboard → My Forums. Interested readers follow specific questions — updates appear on Home → Following.

5. Explore your community

Use Home and civic level pages to discover leaders, elections, rankings, and regional citation patterns. Community Energy is on each level's Dashboard tab.

Leaders and Elections · Legislative Activity Reports · Rankings and Stats · Community Energy · Sources and Our Media Diet
