Options menu (AI actions on tree items)

On My Vision, each support point in your tree has an Options menu for AI-assisted editing. The menu knows whether you are acting on the main card or a selected supporting point.

Opening Options

  • Tap the options control on a tree row (⋯ or equivalent on your device).
  • On desktop web, the menu opens as a popover beside the row; on phone and tablet it opens as a bottom sheet.
  • Tap the info icon (ⓘ) next to the Options title for a guide to every action and when it appears.

If you select a supporting point first (highlighted background), Options applies to that point. If nothing is selected, Options applies to the main point on the current card.

What you can do

AI research combines the external research prompt and paste-back in one flow: copy the prompt, work in your AI tool, then paste the Markdown result back into Symthink.

On Ballot Research elections, the research action may read AI ballot research.

Start open forum is not available from My Vision. As the tree owner, open your published platform from Dashboard → Sharing, navigate to a Question, and use the speed-dial menu there. See civic-listening.md.

Expanding a point

Supporting points start as leaves (one line of text). To add sub-points under them:

  1. Select the leaf (highlighted).
  2. Open Options → Expand this point, or run AI research and paste back content (Symthink expands the point automatically when adding children).
  3. Tap the point again to navigate into it like any other card.

To collapse an expanded point back to a single leaf, use Revert to Leaf from the recycle/options flow on that row.
